Initial situation

Spacious entrance area, windows with integrated slat blinds. The louvre blinds were repeatedly defective and the repairs were very time-consuming and extremely costly. In summer, the problem was that the interior became very hot through the large windows.
 

Solution

The requirement was to reduce the heat without increasing the reflection.
For this reason, they decided in favour of E-Lite 45 Xtra Exterior. This high-performance solar control film reduces radiation by 61 % and does not cause any visual changes to the glass surfaces.

The facility manager is delighted with the effect of the film. In addition to the fact that they make enormous cost savings due to the elimination of repair costs, they also benefit from an extremely pleasant indoor climate.

Jumbo / Silver 35 Xtra Exterior

Initial situation

The facades of the garden departments of the Jumbo Do-It wholesale stores are largely made of glass. This ensures that the plants have enough light for healthy growth and that the sales areas are bright and friendly. The big problem in the summer months was that the enormous heat behind the glass damaged the plants before they could be sold.

Solution

Thanks to the expert advice from our specialist film installation partner, the Jumbo project management team opted for a solution using Silver 35 Xtra Exterior solar protection film. The use of this high-performance solar control film achieves a heat reduction of 66%, while still allowing enough light into the rooms to make customers and plants feel comfortable. As a result, most Jumbo garden centres have already been upgraded with Silver 35 Xtra Exterior.

Konnex building in Baden

Initial situation:

We were able to take over the complete film cutting for the large-scale project in Baden for the companies Bader Folientechnik, Boglas Folien + Design AG, Sunreflex and Signvision Werbetechnik AG

The challenge:

The project was carried out in several stages and in teamwork by 4 companies. This meant that the films had to be perfectly labelled and sorted so that everyone on site knew which film had to be installed where on the building.

The project was a complete success. Thanks to the precisely cut films, no cutter had to be used on site and the installation was quick and clean.

Zurich Exhibition Centre / Silver 20 Xtra Exterior

Initial situation

In this fully glazed gallery in front of the exhibition centre, the heat input from the sun was very high. As a result, the rooms became extremely hot, especially in summer. The full transparency into the interior of the gallery was disruptive and a visually uniform glass façade was required.

Solution

The best-performing solar control film was applied to the lower glass elements, which reduces the heat input by 80 % and also guarantees the desired visual protection.

Basel Exhibition Tower

Initial situation:

We received the order from 3M Schweiz GmbH to cut the film for the largest 3M sun protection film project in Europe.

The challenge:

We measured the entire Messeturm Basel with millimetre precision and then calculated the optimum material consumption. With such a large project, everything simply has to fit. Perfect cut edges, exact cutting dimensions, clean labelling and packaging, as well as safe transport and good storage.

‘Guests and employees often complained about the high temperatures in the foyer. My task was to find the most cost-effective and sustainable solution to the heat problem. Immediately after installing a high-performance SORENOS solar control film, the room temperature was noticeably more pleasant on hot days and our measurement data confirmed a reduction of 3 - 4 degrees Celsius. Initial situation

The two windows in the individual psychology counsellor's office face east. The windows bring a lot of light into the room, but in summer this room also gets very hot. Both the clients and the counsellor find it difficult to concentrate in this heat. That's why we were asked for advice. 

Solution

The consultant opted for the light-coloured TopCoat X70 Exterior solar control film. It was important for her to have plenty of light in the room, for the film not to change the appearance of the façade and for the heat to be reduced. The TopCoat X70 fulfils all these requirements. The customers enjoy the beautiful view and the pleasant temperatures in summer.
